I decided to separate the tram / trolleycar from the Holiday Main Street and de-Christmasify it so that it could be used on a tramline placed behind several of the modular buildings (the Bookshop, Police Station, park MOC, Greengrocers and Grand Emporium). The Modular’s were moved forward 16 studs and 16 x 32 baseplates were positioned to the rear of the modulars, and track laid.
A small 16 x 16 baseplate was placed between the rear of the Pet Shop and the terraced houses where a simple tram stop was added. A signpost to the tram stop - with added custom tiles - was placed between the Pet Shop and Grand Emporium, where a path ran off the street and towards Clutch Crescent.
Ornate MOC tram poles were added along the route of the track to allow cable to be threaded through them giving the impression of overhead power wires.
Finally, a trolley pole was added to the top of the tram / trolley car, a custom destination tile added, and a few minor changes made to the tram to ‘de-christmasify’ it. The holly and ivy along the sides of the tram were removed and replaced with a custom tram company tile. The destination tile above the driver was replaced with a ‘Clutch Crescent’ tile.
After separating wires in a BIT cable, and fixing the wires to each inside edge of the track with conductive paint, I used conductive tape along the length of the track to provide power along the length of the tramline.
The wires of a second cable were separated and placed on the tram wheels, with the other end connected to a single LED strip light in the cabin. 1 BIT light in the headlamp was connected to the other end of the LED strip light.
The result was a tram that could be rolled anywhere along the tracks and remain illuminated.

Hopefully the 2023 Modular - the Jazz Club - will be next to be lit
