Palace Cinema - update

The Palace Cinema modular was powered in January, but I was never happy with the canopy and sign area of the build. I really wanted to include lights on the Palace sign, and have them chase like they would on a real old fashioned cinema building.

I'd looked at options to get the lights to flash in a sequence and the closest I could find was to use a traffic light effect board, but that would be slow and have pauses between the lights cycling through their phases. Then I saw a message from another Lego lighting company that answered my prayers. The Brickstuff Palace Cinema marquee kit was everything I wanted.

So after ordering from the US and awaiting arrival I have now installed it. The instructions for this are online so I'm not going to explain how it was installed, only show the end result that gives the cinema that extra -chef's kiss- that was missing.

Here''s the Cinema now, standing out on the High Street and inviting people to come and watch a classic, the outside lights chase down the sign whilst the flickering projector can be seen working inside.
